Post-Christmas

Well, we've had a very enjoyable holiday season so far, as a relaxing lead-up to our cruise! We spent Christmas with our large extended family all together at church, brunch, lunch and dinner. (Picture to right: Shalissa, Jordan & Katie at Christmas Lunch). Boxing Day was also all together - going to the movies with both families and then shopping and lunch all together. Big day, but lots of fun!

There are now only 7 sleeps remaining until we leave for Sydney!! This week will be mainly spent buying a few last things, packing the enormous amount of clothes I plan on taking and getting as much school work done as possible. My new mini laptop has been great so far (at school and at home)... and we plan on taking it with us to keep this blog up to date. I think Jordan may also want a few episodes of Scrubs loaded on it to watch while we're away! So I'll be spending a little bit of time organising all of that too. If anyone has suggestions for good bags for 9 inch laptops, please let me know! :)

Our good friends, Phil and Hannah leave for NZ on Wednesday 31st, and we will be meeting up with them in Auckland on the 18th of Jan. This afternoon, Hannie and I booked us in to have dinner all together at the Orbit Restaurant at the Sky Tower. It is a revolving restaurant at the top of the tower, so it should be a good night. We look forward to hearing all about their amazing family reunion/adventure!!

Bye for now!!

The times, they are changing...

Well, this blog is now to be converted from a list of university induced ramblings to a travel blog that will document our cruising holiday to New Zealand.

I'm excited to go to NZ, but at the same time am getting nervous about being properly prepared for starting my job at school next year. Had better get my head down between now and the 4th of Jan.

As things currently stand, we have received our e-documents from the cruise line, have our e-tickets for our airfares. If only we could have 'e-luggage' and 'e-packing'.... that would make everything a lot easier! I have been trying to make a list of what to take, but it is getting large, due to the need to take everything from swimmers to evening gowns to jackets and scarves (especially for Phillip Island where we will be on the beach for 3 hours at night time!).

Had best be off and doing something a little more productive. I must figure out how to upload photos onto this blog...

Bye for now!
